Thomas Burke
Principal, General Counsel

Thomas Burke joined TOLD Development Company after serving as Associate General Counsel at Opus Corporation for six years. He was named General Counsel of TOLD in 1992, and Executive Vice President in 1998. While with Opus, Burke was involved in the development, construction, leasing, property management, financing and sale of office and retail projects throughout the U.S. Prior to Opus, Burke was employed by Dayton-Hudson where he negotiated over 600 retail leases. Following Dayton-Hudson, Burke worked for Dayton-Hudson Properties (now The Center Companies), where he provided legal services for the leasing, development and management of regional shopping centers and multi-use office/retail projects for Dayton-Hudson Properties and several institutional investors including Royal Dutch Shell, Ford Motor, The Equitable and CIGNA.

Burke attended the University of Minnesota where he received a Bachelor of Arts Magna Cum Laude in 1974 in history and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1978.

Burke resides with his wife Barb and their two children on Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota.
